WOMCOM Kick-Off Event in Novi Sad, Serbia

The first kick-off meeting of WOMCOM partners was successfully concluded

The partners of the Women Power in Comics (WOMCOM) project are delighted to announce the successful completion of the first official kick-off meeting. The meeting was held from 22 to 25 March 2023 in Novi Sad, Serbia, and was hosted by the Students' Cultural Center Novi Sad at the SKCNS Fabrica venue. The primary purpose of this gathering was to bring together the consortium for the first time, fostering better understanding, planning the project's future steps, and ensuring seamless communication among partners, stakeholders, and target audiences.

The meeting was attended by nineteen representatives from all official consortium partners, Students’ Cultural Center Novi Sad, Bakelit Multi Art Center, Kino Šiška, PostScriptum, Autonomous Cultural Center Attack, as well as representatives from the Association of Comic Authors of Montenegro, the project's associate partner.

The WOMCOM kick-off meeting aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the project's development and establish a detailed work plan for the upcoming months. Key highlights of the meeting included presentations on the project's current activities, its visual identity, and communications strategy, as well as discussions on upcoming events, such as the open call for this year's two artists-in-residencies.
