During the event, the WOMCOM project will be unveiled to the public, serving as a platform to showcase panel talks, discussions, and compelling case studies that shed light on issues surrounding the female perspective, participation, representation, and activism within the realm of comics. This conference offers an invaluable opportunity to engage in fruitful dialogue, exchange ideas, and learn from exemplary practices, thus fostering a greater understanding of the aforementioned subjects.
Simultaneously, the artistic outcomes of the inaugural WOMCOM AiR programme will be showcased in a group exhibition, featuring the participating artists of the Novi Sad residency. The exhibition, curated by Jana Adamovic and Dragana Garic, will open on September 7th at 5 pm, hosted at SKCNS Fabrica. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the exhibition throughout the duration of the four-day 17th Novi Sad Comic Weekend. Marking its official inauguration on 8th September at 5 pm, the Novi Sad Comic Weekend promises an engaging experience for the visitors.
