Jana (Yana) Adamovic is a comic book author and illustrator from Belgrade, Serbia. Her comics are published in Europe and the US. In her personal work, she draws inspiration from important social issues such as the refugee crisis, climate change, women's rights, and autofiction. Alongside her artistic work, she is active in promoting the visibility of women in the comics industry. She is the author of "Ona se Budi / BD égalité," a group exhibition that featured over fifty female artists from Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, and France in 2018. This year, she co-founded a collective of women comic artists in Serbia named Comic-Aunties, whose mission is to encourage the creation of original comics by young artists, both male and female, and to increase the visibility of female comic artists in Serbia. In 2019, she was awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the Republic of France.
