Ana Roubieu Marković, also known by her artist name "Anieshka," is a 23-year-old visual artist. She studied fine arts and graduated from Paul Valery University in France before recently relocating to Bjelovar, Croatia. Ana has been drawing comics and manga since childhood, and this year saw the publication of her comic REBIRTH 1, a significant milestone in her artistic career. This achievement inspired her to leave her part-time job and pursue art full-time.
Of mixed French and Croatian heritage, Marković is well-acquainted with the comics scene in France and is now eager to explore the other half of her cultural background by collaborating with artists in Croatia. This exploration is driven by a desire to connect with the Balkan side of her family and cultural roots.
Artistically, Marković draws inspiration from the beauty of everyday life, including the views on her way home, her queer community, love, and coffee. While she primarily uses Procreate for her work on REBIRTH 2 for her scriptwriter, she also enjoys working with oil paints, watercolor, pencil, and acrylics. Additionally, she has a passion for creating art on reclaimed materials, reflecting her approach to finding wonder in simple, everyday objects.
